A few days later the whole neighborhood knows that Joseph was suspended.
Everyone says, "We need to do something before it’s too late!"
Three very serious women knock on Mrs. Wresinski’s door. They complain about Joseph’s behavior and suggest that he be put in a foster home.
They think, "It’ll be a relief for that poor woman to see that impossible child go."
Joseph’s mother thinks to herself, "I guess it’s decided, Joseph will go. There’s not much else to say."
