But Karim isn’t on the train and no one seems to notice! He helped his father very late last night and this morning. When he wakes up, he realizes that he only has a few minutes before the friendship train’s leaving. He throws on his shoes and starts running.

When he catches his breath at the train station, he asks,
- “Has the friendship train left yet?”
- “Yep,” replies Joey, the station manager, “you just missed it.”
Karim, sits down sadly on the bench and sighs, “I always miss everything and it’s never my fault! It’s not fair. I thought the friendship train waited for everybody.”
