The people of the Shöenberg district in Freiburg welcomed us with a bone fire and... Saint Nicolas who was accompanied by Le Père Fouettard. It is a tradition in this town to celebrate St Nicolas Day on the 6th of December every year.
To the children’s greatest delight they gave us sweets and clementines. We sang, we danced and drank hot cinnamon tea. In spite of the biting cold everyone had a wonderful time!
In the evening there were lots of fun, games and songs. The pages of the personal diaries and folders are filling up!
