| Monday 7th of December : meeting the adults |
Today, Monday 7th of December, we left the House in Treyvaux very early and travelled to Geneva where we met up with adults from Bolivia, Burkina Faso, Haiti, France and Switzerland. Together with them we represent the official delegation who will meet with the UN.
Once at the Geneva International Conference Centre we took the time to get to know one another. All in all we were almost 80. Even though we were tired, everybody was in good spirits. We rehearsed reading out all the delegations’ messages. We were able to say what we liked and to ask questions when we didn’t quite understood what was said. We were also shown how to move the train for the following day.

It was slightly long but luckily we could also play. Both staff and interpreters were amazed at how quickly we filled the entire floor with our laughter, songs and dances.

We also livened up the corridors of the youth hostel where we had our meals and slept. Upon seeing us play and talk in the hall a young woman commented to one of the coordinator that we looked like children from the same family but coming from different places. It is true that everybody in the group is feeling very much at ease and at home by now! It was funny because for some children it was the first time they would use lifts. There are no lifts in their countries. So they stopped at every single floor and visited every delegation’s room. That was something!
